Brad Howard Qualifies for Re-Election to Continue Delivering Progress for Park View
ANC 1E01 commissioner campaigns on a record of persistent advocacy and a commitment to safer streets, dependable city services, and accountable government.
WASHINGTON — Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Brad Howard announced today that he has qualified for the ballot for re-election to represent Single Member District 1E01, seeking a second term focused on the everyday concerns of Park View residents: costs, safety, rats, and reliable city services.
“Serving my neighbors has been an honor, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” Howard said. “People work hard to make a home here. They deserve to feel safe, afford to stay, and count on the services they pay for. I’m running for re-election to keep those concerns front and center and build on the progress we’ve made.”
First elected in 2024, Howard has worked to ensure that residents’ concerns produce action. His advocacy helped restore condo owners’ access to $660,000 in warranty protection for serious building defects and pushed Pepco to complete repairs after months of recurring outages. When shootings shook Park View this summer, he brought residents, school officials, Council representatives, and police together to demand answers and sustained attention to neighborhood safety.
Those efforts reflect Howard’s commitment to protecting residents’ investments in their homes and improving daily life in Park View. He has also pressed for accountability when basic services fail, documenting residents’ experiences with missed trash collection and unsafe conditions after January’s snowstorm to support the Commission’s demands for improvements.
Howard said a second term would build on that work, keeping pressure on District agencies to deliver dependable services, address persistent rat infestations, and respond to residents’ safety concerns.
“We’ve made progress, but too many neighbors still face the same frustrations outside their front doors,” Howard said. “I’m asking for your vote so we can keep working together for a cleaner, safer Park View where residents can count on their government to follow through.”
A Park View homeowner, Howard serves as ANC 1E secretary and brings experience in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Obama Administration, and New Orleans City Hall. Learn more and get involved at bradhoward.us.
